Art competition for redesigning the windows of the former church of Dominican monastery (today’s auditorium of University of Bamberg). Grids and color were the chosen core elements for connecting the historic reference with the contemporary use of this space.

Space Release #2 employs strategies of shifting and overlapping to analyze the fundamental parameters of space. By taking up and recapitulating existing spatial elements, and also by interfering with them, artistic interventions question the use-fulness and signifcance of familiar spaces.

The proposal spreads grids consisting of LED-lines over the yard of the City Palace. These are tapering towards two opposing centers: Fortuna Portal beyond the palace (symbolizing the people) and the center of the plenary (symbolizing the representation of people).
